I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Design Studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. My research aims to develop computational design tools that support inclusive, creative, and evidence-based design solutions to enhance the well-being of future occupants. Specifically, I focus on measuring, understanding, and modeling dynamic human emotional responses and subsequent behaviors in the context of human-building interaction (HBI). By combining empirical studies, behavioral modeling, and tool development, my work bridges Environmental Psychology, Creative Design, Systems Engineering, and Human-Computer Interaction.

I received my Ph.D. in Human Behavior and Design from Cornell University, where I was advised by Dr. Saleh Kalantari, with committee members Dr. Patrick Reed (Systems Engineering) and Dr. Adam Anderson (Psychology). Prior to that, I studied architectural design at Columbia University’s GSAPP and the University of Hong Kong.
